We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Construction Foreman to oversee our construction projects.  The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of construction processes, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team of workers.  The Construction Foreman will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all construction activities on site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers on site
• Plan and schedule construction projects, ensuring timely completion
• Oversee quality control and safety procedures on site
• Review project plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders
• Monitor and report on project progress to management
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with building codes and regulations
• Train and mentor workers to improve their skills and performance

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• A relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in construction supervision
• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar role
• Solid understanding of construction processes and techniques
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Working Conditions:

• Work on construction sites, often in outdoor or inclement weather conditions
• May be required to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, to meet project deadlines
• May be required to travel and be away from home for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed
