Job Description
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic team. The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support to the Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the HR department and ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions within the organization. The successful candidate will be a key member of the team and contribute to the overall success of the department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, and drafting offer letters.
- Maintain employee records and ensure that all HR documentation is up-to-date and filed in accordance with Orion standards.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation of new employees.
- Coordinate employee training and development programs.
- Assist with all Industrial Relations processes, including performance management and disciplinary hearings.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- 1-2 years of experience in an HR or administrative role.
- Driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Knowledge of labour legislation and regulations.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- The ideal candidate must also be willing to come in, if necessary, over weekends and work longer hours in order to accommodate candidates with after-hours profiling and interviews.
