We are currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic team.  The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support to the Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, and drafting offer letters.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure that all HR documentation is up-to-date and filed in accordance with Orion standards.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation of new employees.
  • Coordinate employee training and development programs.
  • Assist with all Industrial Relations processes, including performance management and disciplinary hearings.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an HR or administrative role.
  • Driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of labour legislation and regulations.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • The ideal candidate must also be willing to come in, if necessary, over weekends and work longer hours in order to accommodate candidates with after-hours profiling and interviews.

The Human Resources Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the HR department and ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions within the organization. The successful candidate will be a key member of the team and contribute to the overall success of the department.
